After working with a local independent funeral director for many years, I gained extensive experience supporting families and became a qualified embalmer and a member of the British Institute of Embalmers.

During this time, we established a funeral support company, providing support services to funeral directors and related organisations across South East Wales. After three successful years, we felt it was the right time to take the next step and open our own independent funeral directors in Blackwood, offering personal support directly to local families.

Based in Blackwood, we support families across the surrounding communities, including 

Cefn Fforest, Markham, Pontllanfraith and beyond.

Aubrey Watson Funeral Directors is named in memory of my grandfather, Herbert Aubrey Watson.

His love of gardening inspired both our name and the natural, calming colours used throughout our logo and premises. Every detail has been chosen to create a warm, peaceful space where families feel supported,unhurried and at ease.

Our approach is simple: to listen, to guide with care, and to support families without pressure or haste.
